El Salvador Finca Las Laderas is a beautifully crafted medium light roast. Utilizing the honey process method—where the coffee is de-pulped and dried with its sweet mucilage intact—this cup delivers a rich, vibrant profile with distinct tasting notes of Peach, Caramel and Maple Syrup.
This exceptional lot of Pacamara varietal comes to us from Finca Las Laderas, nestled high in the Apaneca-Ilamatepec region of Santa Ana at 1,400 to 1,800 meters above sea level. Owned by the Lima family since the mid-1960s, the farm is composed of 60 hectares, dedicating 40 hectares to coffee and 20 hectares to natural virgin forests. Overlooking Lake Coatepeque, it is surrounded by the Los Volcanes and Cerro Verde National Parks, wrapping around the slopes of the Ilamatepec volcano.

The Lima family holds an enviable reputation as one of the most decorated producing families in the Cup of Excellence history, winning the competition with their coffee in 2019. Following a catastrophic volcanic eruption in 2006, Fernando Lima recognized an opportunity in the ash-covered land, beginning a process of organic conversion and ceasing the use of chemical pesticides. Today, this highly rich volcanic soil and dense, natural shade canopy of replanted walnut, cypress, and jacaranda trees contribute to a uniquely sweet cup profile while protecting a wide variety of local wildlife.
